Jimmy Dale Norman
( April 29, 1941 - May 20, 2023 )
Jimmy Dale Norman, 82, of Lincolnton died on Saturday May 20, 2023. Dale attended UNC Chapel Hill and later worked at B.F. Goodrich, New York until he returned to NC in 1973. He then opened Dale Norman Tire in Dallas until he retired in 2014. He loved owning his own business and was an excellent businessman. Dale was known for his kindness, integrity and generosity and would go out of his way to help anyone in need.
Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Isabell Sullivan Norman Beal; his father, William Earl Norman who was killed in WWII; his stepfather, Reverend Belton C. Beal; his ex-wife, Sybil Keener Norman; his sisters, Linda Norman Wilkinson, Noma Beal Hallman, Jean Beal Ballard; his brothers, Dr. Lewis Beal, William Edward Beal, Reverend B.C. Beal, Jr., Hugh Beal and Millard Beal.
Surviving are sisters Jane Beal Chronister, Carole Beal Carter (James), Beth Beal Roseboro (Nelson) and brother Jeff Beal (Lou).
A graveside gathering of family and friends will be held at Hollybrook Cemetery on Wednesday, May 24th at 2:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow at the home of Jeff and Lou Beal.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
