Frances Irene Hester Sigmon

Frances Irene Hester Sigmon, age 93, of Will Proctor Street in Denver, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Rock Springs Campground Arbor with Rev. Tim Killian officiating. Burial will follow in the Denver United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday at the campground.
Frances was born April 18, 1930, to the late William C. Hester and Flora Goodson Hester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Franklin Sigmon, Sr.; daughter, Vickie Sigmon; and three brothers, Horace Hester, Clyde Hester, and Henry Hester. Frances loved her family, loved flowers and gardening, the Rock Springs Campground, and going to the beach fishing. She was very active in Denver United Methodist Church with fish fries and the First Thursday lunch.
She is survived by a son, Richard F. “Butch” Sigmon, Jr. (Jan) of Denver; daughter, Mary Sigmon Tate (Ben) of Iron Station; four grandchildren, John Tate, Seth Bowers (Sunny), Etta Tucker (Greg), and Jena Bowers; and three great-grandchildren, Ethan Tucker, Hagen Smith, and Kailey Bowers.
Memorials may be made to Hearts and Hope Foundation, Inc., PO Box 596, Terrell, NC 28682.
