Carolyn Scates Cannarsa

Carolyn Scates Cannarsa, age 83, of The Greens at Lincolnton, and formerly of Home Trail, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Bob Wise officiating.
Mrs. Cannarsa was born January 15, 1940, in Cherokee County, South Carolina, to the late Sam and Bessie Bright Scates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Joseph Cannarsa, and a brother, Robert Eugene Scates, Sr. She was the co-owner of the Italian Villa.
She is survived by Charles “Ricky” Bright (Diane); nieces and nephews, Cathy Scates Conner (Bobby) of Cherryville, Robert Scates, Jr. (Donna) of Lincolnton, Louis Joseph Scates of Avery County; and great-nieces and nephews, Blake Conner (Madeline), Brandon Conner (Addison), Taylor Scronce (Nathan), and Josom Scates.
