David Griffin Lynn

David Griffin Lynn, age 81, of Denver, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, weather permitting, at Hollybrook Cemetery, 302 Hollybrook Avenue in Lincolnton, with Rev. Sarah Underwood officiating. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. DAV military rites will be given graveside. A reception will be held at Local Roots and Provisions, 110 E. Water Street, Lincolnton, immediately following the ceremony.
David was born May 12, 1942, in Rowan County, to the late Kemp Griffin Lynn and Bessie Linville Lynn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Carswell and Faye Bryant. He served in the United States Air Force. Upon leaving the service, he would work for Carolina Freight Carriers for 25 years and then later was president of A & D Corporation for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Dyson Lynn of the home; one son, Jason Bradley Lynn and wife JoAnna Brown Lynn; two grandsons, Joseph Griffin Lynn, and Jaxon Bradley Lynn, all of Harrisburg; niece, Emily Boone; and nephew, Brent Dyson.
David lived an amazing life with 61 years of marriage. His greatest treasure was his family.
