Mary Sue Scronce Phillips

Mary Sue Scronce Phillips, age 87, of 6336 Ballard Road in Denver, died on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Reepsville Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Hull and Rev. Jaie Warlick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Phillips was born December 23, 1935, in Lincoln County, to the late Amos Vance Scronce and Annie Mae Beaver Scronce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lester Rogers and Leonard Phillips.
She is survived by two sons, Mickey Rogers (Barbara) of Denver, and Jeff Rogers (Sarah) of Lincolnton; daughter, Tammy Rogers of Vale; brothers, Harold Scronce (Nellie) of Newton, and Dean Scronce (Betty) of Crouse; two sisters, Hazel Warlick (Jack), and Ruby Pendleton, all of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Tinnie Thompson (David), Daniel Rogers (Carol), and Wesley Rogers (Amanda); and six great-grandchildren, McQuay Rogers, Gage Rogers, Sierra Thompson, Kaitlyn Thompson, Nathan Thompson, and Tannon Rogers.
