Monnie Clippard Cadenhead

Monnie Clippard Cadenhead, formerly of Lincolnton, died September 3, 2023.
Monnie was born in 1929 at the beginning of the Great Depression. Monnie was the youngest of 6 children born to John Reedy Clippard and Minty Costner Clippard.
Monnie worked in textile mills and worked for her God and His church. Over a period of 7 decades, she served her Lord as Sunday school teacher, Choir Director, Youth Director, Counselor, Pianist and Soloist . 'Mee-Maw' taught her children and grandchildren the ways of the Lord, and always with love and kindness.
Monnie met her husband Jack in 1945 after the war. They were married in 1946. Her beloved Jack died in 2019 after 73 years of marriage. Monnie is also predeceased by all of her siblings (3 brothers and 2 sisters)
Mama is survived by her beloved daughter, Cindy, and her three sons, Doug (Gail), Mike (Patty), and Billy.
Mee-Maw is also survived by her 5 beloved grandchildren (Buddy, Richard, Kristi, Brian, and Stacey); and 6 great-grandchildren (Caitlyn, Nikki, Jenna, Lucas, Khloe, and Abby). In 2023 Mee-Maw was thrilled to welcome two great-great-grandchildren (Lily-Anne and Alayna).
Greeting and visitation will be at Warlick Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Hollybrook Cemetery, Lincolnton, NC.
The family would like to acknowledge the nurses, CNAs, and staff of The Foley Center of Blowing Rock. The family would also like to acknowledge the time, vigilance and attention provided by daughter Cindy Taylor and grandson Buddy Fore.
