Joseph Carroll Singleton

Joseph Carroll Singleton, age 80, of Frank Cline Road in Vale, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Howards Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Sigmon and Rev. Ted Newton officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the church.
Mr. Singleton was born December 10, 1942, in Buncombe County, to the late Wiley and Josephine Moore Singleton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth, Jim, and Ricky. He worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Montgomery Singleton of the home; brother, Jerry Singleton (Deana) of Asheville; stepchildren, Amanda Underdown (Tim) of Vale, and Michael Johnston (Christy) of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Howards Creek Baptist Church, 3118 W. Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
