Kenneth Lee Groves

Kenneth Lee Groves, age 77, of Dogwood Lane in Dallas, died on Monday, October 23, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Dunigan officiating. Burial will follow in the Maiden City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Groves was born December 5, 1945, in Gaston County, to the late Cliff and Gertrude Lunsford Groves. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Cape (Frank), William Groves, Beverly Cook, and Marie Allen. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Kenneth retired from Wix after 23 years. He was a member of High Shoals Church of God and loved playing the piano and bass guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Melisa Reep Groves of the home; son, Joey Groves of Wake Forest; daughter, Tonda Ware of Clover, SC; three grandchildren, Matthew, Alex, and Cameron Ware; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Maverick Ware; brother, Charles Groves of Bessemer City; and sister, Frances Scott (Larry) of Kings Mountain.
