Carl Andrew Saine, Jr.
( February 17, 1945 - December 9, 2023 )
Mr. Carl Andrew Saine Jr., age 78, was surrounded by family in his home at 3S Farm as he passed from faith into sight on December 9, 2023. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, in the sanctuary of Bethphage Lutheran Church in Lincolnton, NC. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Tom Beers and followed by burial in the church cemetery. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends in the Bethphage Lutheran Church Family Life Center at 1:00 PM.
Mr. Saine was born in Crouse, NC on February 17, 1945 to the late Carl Saine Sr. and Elsie Lutz Dellinger. He graduated from West Lincoln High School and soon after married the late Judie Rebecca Hill Saine. Together, they farmed and raised three sons. In addition to turkey, dairy, and beef farming, Mr. Saine owned convenience stores, rental property, and was a truck driver for both Carolina Freight and ABF Freight. While Mr. Saine worked other jobs to support his family, he was dedicated to preserving his family farm. He was proud his commitment to that legacy is now carried on by his two surviving sons. When Mr. Saine was not busy with the demands of farming, he enjoyed socializing with family and friends, often going dancing in his younger years and playing cards later in life. Mr. and Mrs. Saine were longtime members of Bethphage Lutheran Church and dedicated their time to serving family and the local church community. Mr. Saine is best remembered for his devotion to his family along with a quick smile and a funny story for everyone he met.
In addition to his father and wife of 51 years, Mr. Saine was preceded in death by his infant son Carl Andrew Saine III. His memory will be cherished by sons David Saine (Rae) and Rusty Saine (Kelly), his grandchildren Drew Saine, Sadie Norris (Dylan), Chloe Saine, Andy Saine, great grandson Kipp Russell Norris, his mother Elsie Dellinger, sister Rita Beamguard (Jonathon), and brother Mark Dellinger (Tabitha).
Pallbearers for Mr. Saine’s service are Mark Boston, John Eaker, Mark Eaker, Jeff Hill, Kurt Houser, Trey Howe, Dylan Norris, Andy Saine, and Drew Saine.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Lincoln County or Bethphage Lutheran Church are welcomed.
