Helen Richard Rhyne

Helen Richard Rhyne, age 94, of Rock Dam Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Landers officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Friday prior to the service.
Mrs. Rhyne was born June 22, 1929, in Lincoln County, to the late Maurice Alexander Richard and Annie Lee Wilson Richard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Caleb Rhyne; and a sister, Mabel Houser. She loved watching and feeding hummingbirds, cake decorating, and flowers.
She is survived by a daughter, Gail Hovis (Larry) of Lincolnton; grandsons, Chad Hovis (Audrey) of Cherryville, and Jeff Hovis (Rebecca) of Lincolnton; great-grandchildren, Caleb Hovis, Ayden Hovis, and Cameron Hovis; and sisters, Margaret Reep of Hickory and Wanda Avery of Crouse.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
