Sarah Phillips Conrad
( August 21, 1938 - December 29, 2023 )
Sarah Conrad, age 85, of Golden Pond Court in Lincolnton, died on Friday, December 29, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Covenant Church with Rev. Mike Devine officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in repose at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Conrad was born August 21, 1938, in Gaston County, to the late Victor Phillips and Sue Mills Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darryl Conrad, and her sister, Betty Friday. She retired as a teaching assistant from Gaston County Schools. She is survived by a daughter, Beth Glance (Doug) of the home; son, Darren Conrad (Janice) of Charlotte; grandchildren, Hannah Robarge (Steven) and Ragan Glance; and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Charlotte, and Scarlett Robarge.
Sarah took comfort in the simple things later in life. She loved nothing more than a good desert, a hot coffee, and spent many hours listening to old songs. Perhaps the most notable thing about Sarah throughout her entire life was her loyalty. It was the loyalty to her faith in Jesus, her friendships, and her family that will be remembered most. She was a special person to many, and she will be greatly missed.
