Obituaries

Joseph “Butch” Lewis Mallon, age 67, of Woodvale Circle in Lincolnton, died on Monday, January 8, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. 

“Butch” was born July 29, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph A. Mallon and Rose Carboni Mallon.  He was a graduate of Western Carolina University and was a retired teacher from Mt. Holly Middle School. He was also an avid golfer for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie McGinnis Mallon of the home.

His extended family includes sisters and brothers-in law, Kathy and David Houston, Linda McGinnis, and Amy and Ricky Walker. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Amanda Webb, Sarah Biggerstaff, Samantha Biggerstaff, Eric Houston, Emily Houston, Nathan Walker, and Garrett Walker.
