Peggy O'Neal Carswell
( December 18, 1934 - January 4, 2024 )
Peggy O’Neal Carswell 89 of Terra Bella Nursing Home in Newton, NC passed away on January 4th, 2024 of natural causes. Peggy was predeceased by her mother, Bonnie Lewis Carswell and her father, William Russell Carswell and by her brothers, William (Bill ) Carswell and John ( Pete) Carswell.
She is survived by her brother , Ronny Gene Carswell of Denver. her nieces, Amy Carswell Willis ( Tommy) Of Hendersonville, Robin Carswell McNamara ( Jack) of Charlotte, Cathy Carswell Reis, Dana Point, CA, Bonnie Schoffner ( Chris) of Lincolnton and nephews Clyde Carswell ( Heather) of Denver, Mike Carswell ( Paula) of Lincolnton and Mark Carswell ( Lisa) of Anna, Texas. She had many great nieces and great nephews.
Peggy worked at First Federal Savings and Loan in Lincolnton , NC. She was an active member of her church. She was a wonderful second mother to her nieces, Amy, Robin and Cathy when their mother died when they were in middle school.
Peggy was a special lady and was always helping others. She was loved by many.
A graveside service will be held to celebrate Peggy’s life at Zion cemetery in Vale, NC on April 6 2024 at 1:00 pm.
Memorials can be made to Messiah United Methodist Church in Vale, NC or to Denver United Methodist Church In Denver, NC.
