Kluttz Vaughn Hallman
( November 17, 1944 - January 21, 2024 )
Kluttz “Vaughn” Hallman, 79, passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2024. He was a Lincoln County native, born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on November 17, 1944.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Denver Baptist Church with Rev. Blaine Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Vaughn grew up on the Hallman family farm in Iron Station, learning what hard work and family meant from an early age. He attended Lincolnton High School where he met the love of his life, Brenda Sisk. They were married for 53 years. Vaughn was a gifted storyteller and often told of his days at the Lincolnton Harris Teeter as Meat Market Manager or installing commercial garage doors over the state of NC. After working diligently for many years, Vaughn retired in 2016 from Carolina Door Specialties to care for his wife.
No better man has walked as victoriously through trials and hardship. Vaughn never complained when facing difficult medical diagnosis time and again. He always had a positive word and was quick to point others to the giver of his strength, his Lord and beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ.
He will be forever remembered by his son, Jonathan (Amy) Hallman; daughter, Christina (Justin) Sutton; grandchildren, Hannah Hallman, Ethan Hallman, Madison Sutton and Wyatt Sutton; brothers, Stanly (Ruth) Hallman, George (Judy) Hallman; brother-in-law, Gary (Fay) Sisk; and sisters-in-law, Joyce (Earl) Roberts and Sandy (Donald) Jennings.
Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents, George “Kluttz” and Addie Mae Hallman; and wife, Brenda Hallman.
