Marvin Wayne High

Marvin Wayne High, age 79, of the Heath House, and formerly of High Shoals, died on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, in High Shoals Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike Scott officiating. The family will greet friends graveside following the service.
Marvin was born July 15, 1944, in Gaston County, to the late Carl Norman High and Eula Mae Poteat High. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. He served in the United States Army. Marvin later worked in the warehouse for Western Auto.
He is survived by brothers, Norman High of Lincolnton, and Donald High of Gastonia.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of High Shoals, 600 N. Lincoln Street, High Shoals, NC 28077.
