Brenda Saunders York Rozzelle Horton

Brenda Saunders York Rozzelle Horton, age 82, of East Highway 150 in Lincolnton, died on Monday, January 29, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Union Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Saunders officiating.

Brenda was born February 24, 1941, in Lincoln County, to the late Mack and Mary Lawing Saunders.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Jerry Rozzelle.  She worked as a waitress.  

She is survived by her sons, Reginald Terry York, Jr. (Connie) of Newton, and Richard Todd York of Spruce Pine; daughters, Gina York of Castalian Springs, TN, and Lisa York (Keith) of Conover; brothers, David Saunders (Carolyn) of McAdenville, and Gary Saunders (Nancy) of Lincolnton; sister, Geneva Greene of Iron Station; grandchildren, Ricci Hefner Spizzo, Rodney York, Kaygen York, Keisha Hicks, and Shannon Helms; great-grandchildren, Haley Graham, Cody Hefner, and Landon Poteat; and great-great-grandchildren, Alexa Graham, Kelsey Hicks, Hunter Smith, Levi Honaker, Heaven Honaker, Cindy Honaker, Maci Honaker, Xander Honaker, Brinley Helms, and Jake Helms; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
