Dorothy Alice Fausnaugh Smith

Dorothy Alice Fausnaugh Smith, age 95, of Broomsage Lane in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Freedom Church with Pastor Andrew Goodson, Pastor Michael White, and Pastor Aaron Swain officiating. A meal will follow the service for all who attend and want to speak to the family. It would have been Miss Dorothy’s desire that all attendees dress casual for the service.
Mrs. Smith was born April 21, 1928, in Amanda, Ohio, to the late Elza Fausnaugh and Minnie Swank Fausnaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Darwin Wendell Smith, and a son James Smith.
She is survived by a son, Timothy Mark Smith (Christy); daughters, Pamela Groseclose (Rhea), and Barbara Ellsworth (Curtis); four grandchildren, Kathryn Lineberger (Ryan), Daniel Groseclose, Marie Ellsworth, and Isaac Ellsworth; and one great-grandchild, Caleb Lineberger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Church, 125 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
