Johnny Huss Heafner
( December 22, 1939 - February 8, 2024 )
Johnny Huss Heafner, age 84, of Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Bethphage Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Beers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday in the church fellowship hall.
Johnny was born December 22, 1939, in Lincoln County, to the late John Wray Heafner and Corine Huss Heafner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Norma Crump Heafner, and brother William David “Bill” Heafner. He worked as an upholsterer and retired from Freightliner after twenty years. Johnny was a member of Bethphage Lutheran Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael Heafner and Darrin Heafner (Jodi), all of Lincolnton; significant other, Glenda Fox of the home; grandchildren, Savanna Sipe (Lucas) of Maiden, Tyler Heafner and Blake Heafner of Lincolnton, and Chandler Harrison of Vale; sister, Ann Abee of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Bethphage Lutheran Church, 3440 Highway 182, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
