William Haskew Maxwell, Sr.

Loving husband, brother, father, and friend, William Haskew Maxwell, Sr., age 83, born May 16, 1940, died on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at New Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Jody Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Maxwell was the son of the late William Moss Maxwell and Ruth Honeycutt Maxwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Jesse "Bob" Maxwell. He served in the United States Navy for 22 years, then worked as an educator for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Rhyne Maxwell of the home; sons, William Maxwell, Jr. (Donna), and David Maxwell (Wanda); daughter, Lisa Sampson (Tony); and brother, Vernon Maxwell (Myra); nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
