Rachel Mae Lookadoo Beal

Rachel Mae Lookadoo Beal, age 81,of Gastonia and formerly of Maiden, died on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
A private service will be held in the VA Cemetery in Salisbury. The body will lie in state from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Warlick Funeral Home. The family will not be present during this time.
Mrs. Beal was born May 1, 1942, in Lincoln County, to the late Wayne Abraham Lookadoo and Lonie Mae Lutz Lookadoo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Wayne Beal, and a brother, Willie Lookadoo. She worked as a seamstress.
She is survived by her sons, Tony Beal (Karen) of Maiden, and Tim Beal (Mona) of Kentucky; sisters, Sarah Frye of Newton, and Polly Travis of Maiden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
