James Kenneth Sebast

James Kenneth Sebast passed away peacefully at The Greens in Hickory, North Carolina on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
James “Jim” was born on August 23, 1936, in Schenectady, New York to Kenneth and Marie Sebast. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barb Ogden; daughter, Gail Knapp; daughter-in-law, Patty Sebast; and granddaughter, Marissa Maness.
Jim is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Gale) Sebast of 67 years; his children, Mark (Connie Lou), Kim (Ken) Weaver, Glenn (Janet), and Bruce Sebast. Jim is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren.
Jim was a computer engineer for many years in upstate New York and an avid golfer and gardener.
Jim was a member of Victory Hill Baptist Church in Dallas, North Carolina. Jim trusted the Lord as his Savior near Christmas in 1976 and later baptized at Perth Bible Church in Perth, New York. It was there that he served as deacon and a bus captain for many years.
