Glenna Eaton Emielita, age 97, of Abernehty Laurels in Newton, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Barry Brookshire officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Emielita was born August 12, 1926, in Washington County, to the late Glenn and Rosie Alvis Eaton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glendon Alfred Lowery; second husband, Leo Joseph Emielita; son, Lonnie Michael Lowery; and two brothers.
She is survived by a sister, Jeanette Morgan of Arizona; grandson, Glen Lowery (Joy) of Lincolnton; great-grandchildren, Alison Lowery and Conner Lowery; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Lowery Rabey of Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Abernethy Laurels, 102 Leonard Avenue, Newton, NC 28658.
