Clem David Ray, age 68, of Mull Road in Lincolnton, NC, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Ray was born January 20, 1956, in Hoke County, NC, son of the late Benjamin Burke and Mary Ray Wright.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Tracy Lynch Ray of the home; daughters, Tawanna Croker of Raeford, NC, Monya Ray of Fayetteville, NC, and Teresa McMillian of Hope Mills, NC; brothers, Clyde Wright, Preston Wright, and Jerry Wright, all of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Marcella Wright of Raeford, NC, Brenda Wright of Charlotte, NC, and Coretta Porter and husband James of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Jailyn Croker-Palmer of Fayetteville, NC; great-grandson, Jolan David Palmer of Raeford, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Ray will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 01, 2024, in Hollybrook Cemetery of Lincolnton, NC, with Minister Ventress Williams and Elder Barbara Irons officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ray will be held at a later date.
