Vivian Lucille Branton Bolton

Vivian “Lucille” Branton Bolton, age 92, of Deer Run Drive in Crouse, died on Monday, May 27, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Pearl Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Hickory. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Friday at the church.
Lucille was born February 6, 1932, in Swain County, to the late David Lester Branton and Mary Anna Friar Branton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Gail Bolton; sisters, Dorothy Ellen Green and Bertha Mae Mitchamore; and brother, John Harvey Branton, Sr.. She was a graduate of Swain County High School and Appalachian State University and worked as an accountant.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Black (Jimmy) of Vale, and Debbie Lovejoy (Bruce) of Crouse; sister, Sarah Diane Queen of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Christi Mathewson, Mark Thomas (Jennifer), Dusty Thomas (Angie), and Jennifer Farmer (Shane); twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Pearl Baptist Church, Building Fund, 4641 E. Highway 27, Iron Station, NC 28080.
