Mackie Darius Canipe

Mackie Darius Canipe, age 90, of Marley Circle in Charlotte, died on Friday, June 7, 2024.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hiatt officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Canipe was born August 22, 1933, in Lincoln County, to the late Jim and Monta Cook Canipe. Mackie served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He later worked in electronics repair for RCA. Mr. Canipe especially loved gardening and being outdoors, spending time with his family, and enjoying his cabin in Edgemont, North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Setzer Canipe of the home; daughters, Cynthia Syster (Gerald) of Hilton Head, SC, and Suzan Mozeley of Charlotte; and four grandchildren, Kristen Ward-Robinson (Brad), Kelly Burns (Christopher), Lisa Blue (Brandon), and James Mozeley.
Memorials may be made to Park Street United Methodist Church, 120 Park Street, Belmont, NC 28012.
