Mandy Mary Jane Richards Stamey, age 81, of Startown Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Danny Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:15 until 11:15 a.m. on Saturday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stamey was born July 26, 1942, in Lincoln County, to the late Alexander and Lettie C. Painter Richards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Vernon (C.V.) Stamey; sister, Josephine Beard; and two brothers, Glenn Richard and Clayton Richards. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Stamey of Gastonia; sisters, Ann Leatherman of Newton, Estelle Cochrane and Irene Cochrane, both of Lincolnton; brother, Amberse Richards of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
