Mildred Setzer Canipe

Mildred Setzer Canipe, age 87, of Marley Circle in Charlotte, died on Friday, July 5, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hiatt officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Canipe was born July 23, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late Harvey Alonzo Setzer and Libby Buff Setzer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mackie Darius Canipe in June of this year; brother Buddy Setzer; and sister Mary Lou Huss.
She is survived by daughters, Cynthia Syster (Gerald) of Hilton Head, SC, and Suzan Mozeley of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Kristen Ward-Robinson (Brad), Kelly Burns (Christopher), Lisa Blue (Brandon), and James Mozeley; and sisters, Ella Mae Stirewalt and Judy Wurtzer, both of Hickory.
Memorials may be made to Park Street United Methodist Church, 120 Park Street, Belmont, NC 28012.
