Manuel Ray Fredell

Manuel Ray Fredell, father, friend, farmer, fisherman and master craftsman, age 82, of Sam Houser Road in Vale, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clayton Ledford officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Manuel was born August 28, 1941, in Rutherfordton, NC, to the late William and Bessie Myrtle Self Fredell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tim Edwards; daughter, Barbara Goodson; brothers, Pinkney, James, Roy and Foy; and sisters, Annie Moses, Agnes Bowen, Vergie Campbell, Mildred Hamrick, and Essie Bivens. He was a cabinet maker.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie Cianflone Fredell of the home; sons, Brian Jordan of FL, Ray Fredell of NC, Richard Lenox of NC, Kenneth Lenox of NC, and David Dillard of NC; daughter, Teressa McCarter of NC; brother, Coy Fredell of NC; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
