Rev. Harry C. Armstrong
( September 26, 1943 - July 28, 2024 )
Reverend Harry C Armstrong, age 80, departed this life on Sunday, July 28, 2024 to begin his eternal life with our Lord after a short illness.

Born September 26, 1943, Harry was the son of the late Harry E Armstrong and Rosemary Birkley Armstrong. Harry was always called to a life of service. After proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army, Harry attended college in Wisconsin majoring in Theology and obtained his degree. Having a love of airplanes, Harry obtained his pilot’s license. Furthering his calling to service, Harry also chose a career in nursing and worked at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio for many years. During this time, Harry had a stronger calling which led to finally fulfilling his life of service. Harry went on to seminary school, continuing his devotion to our Lord, and reached the ultimate goal of becoming a Catholic Archbishop.

In his later years, Harry traveled the world spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus. His destinations included Australia, Russia, Singapore, and Germany. Harry created the Saint James of Jerusalem Mission in Vale, North Carolina dedicated to serving all of those in need worldwide. Harry was very devoted to both his spiritual family and his lay family. In his leisure time, Harry enjoyed movies, great conversation, collecting model airplanes, and painting scenic portraits. He was a fountain of knowledge with an unmatched sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by brothers Timothy Armstrong and Christopher Armstrong, nephews John Wilson and Robert Armstrong, and fiancé Donna R. Ranieri.

Those left to cherish his memory are sister Rosanne Hutton and niece Janet Dawson of the home, nephews Kenneth Rose and wife Holly, Timothy Armstrong and wife Linda, nieces Robin Mitchell and husband Wally, Marybeth Morgan and husband Larry, Carrie Paquette and husband Steve, Lori Seal, special sister-in- law Elizabeth Armstrong, special nephews Jason Bradley and Michael Dawson, numerous great nieces and nephews as well as numerous great-great nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Harry’s life and memory will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in the chapel at Warlick Funeral Home from 3-4:30pm.
