James Stephen "Steve" Sherrill

James Stephen "Steve" Sherrill, age 73, of the Heath House Assisted Living, died Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
His funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church, Highway NC 150 East, Lincolnton with Pastor Doug Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Mr. Sherrill was born March 20, 1951, in Lincoln County, to the late James Flint Sherrill and Mary Elizabeth Keener Sherrill. Mr. Sherrill served in the Navy and worked for many years at the Water Treatment Plant in Lincolnton.
He was a humble and loving brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. Survivors include a sister, Karen Sherrill Webb of Lincolnton; nephew, Derek Lutz, and wife Sheldon, of Lincolnton; two nieces, Dawn Lutz Freeman of Maiden, and Denise Lutz Milstead, and husband Mike, of Cumming, GA; five great-nieces, Karena, Kinsley, Brianna, Kaylin and Addison; and two great-nephews, Matthew and Clint.
Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 3413 NC Highway 150, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
