Gertrude Kiser London, age 87, of the Long Shoals Community in Lincolnton, died on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Born on July 22, 1937, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late James “Tick” and Kate Kiser. She was a lifelong member of Long Shoals Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold London; brother, J.T. Kiser; and sister, Nellie Faye Keener.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Raper and husband Gregg of Lincolnton; grandsons, Thomas Raper and wife Kristin, and Taylor Raper and wife Jessica, all of Lincolnton; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Sophia, Mack, Julianna, and Emma Kate; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of Lincoln County. Especially her nurse, Rhonda, who took such great care of her, and to Chaplain Chris Hensley for his wonderful visits and talks. She truly enjoyed them and was always eager to see you.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VIA Health Partners, PO Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247.
