Jeffrey Lee Dellinger
( March 9, 1958 - October 5, 2024 )
On October 5, 2024, Jeffrey Lee Dellinger left his temporary home to be in the arms of Jesus.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Hills Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Born on March 9, 1958, he was the son of the late Russell and Joan Dellinger of Stanley. “Jeff” was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jeff was a pillar of leadership with Dellinger Exterminating. Jeff was most known for making people laugh, pulling pranks, and cheering for Duke Basketball. You could always find him in his garage, garden, or on his farm. He always had a story to tell. Jeff loved to fish and spend time at Holden Beach, NC. He was famous for reciting scores, Gunsmoke, and Andy Griffith lines. He was always on a mission to make someone’s day better. He never met a stranger and, if he did, they quickly became friends. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Kelly Dellinger of 38 years; son, Aaron Kelly of Statesville; daughter, Lauren Dellinger of Stanley; son, Ryan Dellinger (Ashley); grandsons, Nate, Corbin, and Noah of Stanley; sister, Cindy McCandless (Mike) of Piney Creek, NC; as well as many nieces, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to Cry Aloud Worship Center, 6111 Bob White Trail, Stanley, NC 28164.
