Frances Brown Humphrey

Frances Brown Humphrey, age 87, of Trey Trail in Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024. Mrs. Humphrey was born April 3, 1937, in Gaston County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Raymond Andrew and Maude Pritchard Goins.
Mrs. Humphrey is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bobby Graham Humphrey, Sr. of the home; children, Jama Brown Mulkey of Denver, NC, Richard Brown of Lincolnton, NC, Virginia Brown of Chattanooga, TN, Linda Brown Cable (Chris Harbert) of Sherrills Ford, NC, and Heather Brown Goodson of Newton, NC; step-son, Bobby G. Humphrey, Jr. (Lisa J. Humphrey) of Dallas, NC; grandchildren, William Brandon Mulkey, Jennifer Leigh Allison, Cody Lee Hughes (Whitney), Casey Gamble Hughes, and Lauren Cable; step-grandchildren, Ethan Parks Humphrey, Olivia Humphrey, and Cameron McIntyre; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Renia Rhodes, and Linda Faye Childers.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Humphrey was preceded in death by her first husband, William Grady Brown; step-daughter, Lisa Lee Humphrey; step-granddaughter, Anna Ruth McIntyre; and five siblings.
The family of Mrs. Humphrey would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to Joette Ross, Lydia Turner, Cindy Turner, and Cindy Spolowitz, who cared for her the past seven years.
A memorial service for Mrs. Humphrey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Butch Ross and Mark Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. Inurnment will be held in Forest Lawn Cemetery of Lincolnton, NC, at a later date.
