John Lester Little

John Lester Little, Jr. age 91, of Asbury Church Road, Lincolnton passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Chad Walker officiating. 
Mr. Little was born on May 27, 1933 and was the son of the late John Lester Little, Sr. and Bertie Mae Lineberger Little.  He was a graduate of Rock Springs High School in Denver, was an inductee in the Lincoln County Sports Hall of Fame in 2005 and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Little retired from Duke Energy.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lawing Little of the home; two sons, Wayne Little (Sara Lynn) of Crouse and Jerry Little (Renee) of Lenoir; seven grandchildren, Haley Lineberger (Jake), Molly Dellinger (Steven), Logan Little, (Olivia), J.R. Little (Kathryn), Langley Little, and Maddy Little; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Forest Pearce of Denver; three great-grandchildren, Travis, Trevor and Raleigh.

The family would like to thank all of John’s caregivers.
