Larry Elvin Hovis

Larry Elvin Hovis, age 74, of Rock Dam Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Landers officiating. Burial will follow in the Hovis Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Larry was born September 23, 1950, in Lincoln County, to the late Elvin Leon Hovis and Christine Gilbert Hovis. He worked as a construction maintenance manager for Duke Energy.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Rhyne Hovis of the home; sons, Chad Hovis and wife Audrey of Cherryville, and Jeff Hovis and wife Rebecca of Sneeds Ferry, NC; brother, Bobby Dale Hovis and wife Melissa of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Caleb Hovis, Nick Jarvis, Kameron Lents, Cooper Gossett, Ayden Hovis, and Cameron Hovis; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Elijah; and nieces and nephews, Aleia Watts (Travis) and their children, Georgia Grace (Everett) and twins Cora and Ivy, and Anna Goodson (Joe) and their son, Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
