Jose Martinez Viera

Jose Martinez Viera, age 82, of Teague Street in Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024. Mr. Viera was born February 7, 1942, in Rincón del Mezquite, Michoacán, Mexico, son of the late Tranquilino Martinez and Olivia Viera.
Mr. Viera is survived by his daughter, Socorro Martinez; sons, Jesus Martinez, Sr. and Jose Luis Martinez; son-in-law, Antonio Garcia; grandsons, Cristian Martinez and Jesus Martinez, Jr.; and granddaughters, Alondra Garcia, Vianca Martinez Garcia, and Casandra Martinez.
A funeral mass for Mr. Viera will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 25, 2024, at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church, with Father Michael Carlson presiding. Interment will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery of Lincolnton, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. on Monday at the church prior to the service.
