William Thomas Guynn

William Thomas Guynn (Bill), 76 of Lincolnton NC passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 7th, 2024. Born on April 28th, 1948, in Metropolis, Illinois to Rev. Julius Earl and Agatha Guynn.
Bill was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a hardworking man and always tinkered around the house. He enjoyed building things and coming up with his next great idea. He loved target shooting and educating anyone who would listen about gun safety and all the things related. He loved being a part of the Catawba Valley Wildlife Club. Bill loved sharing stories about his Lord and Savior. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church in Lincolnton.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother James Guynn, Sister Jean Steen.
Bill is survived by his wife SuAnn Guynn of the home. Son William E. Guynn (Rebekah) of Wisconsin, Son Michael Guynn (Janelle) of Wisconsin, Daughter Sherri Guynn (Jay) of Indiana, Son Ben Guynn (Ashlee) of Lincolnton, and Daughter Amanda Guynn (Clint) of Lincolnton. 4 sisters and 3 brothers, 10 grandkids, 2 great grandkids and his best friends Frank Owensby and Richard DeSimone. He will be missed by everyone who loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday December 12th at First Baptist Church in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 11am until 11:45am. The service will begin promptly at 12pm until 1pm.
Memorial Funds can be made to First Baptist Church of Lincolnton at 201 Robin Rd, Lincolnton NC 28092, or the Catawba Valley Wildlife Club, PO Box 544 Hickory NC 28603.
