Pansy Mize Doby

Pansy Mize Doby, age 85 of Collie Lane in Iron Station, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024, at New Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Pauley and Rev. Joe Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Pansy was born May 19, 1939, in Union, South Carolina to the late Charles Mize and Rosa Lee Mize. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ray Doby; son, Kenny Lanier, Sr.; and siblings, Leroy, Buck, Lillie Mae, Jean, and Ruth. She worked in grocery.
She is survived by three sons, Bobby G. Lanier of Iron Station, Michael A. Lanier of Granite Falls, and Randy E. Lanier of Charlotte; daughter, Jennifer Overcash of Maiden; stepson, Travis Doby (Candy) of Concord; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
