Blanche Beal Dixon
( June 26, 1923 - December 22, 2024 )
Blanche Beal Dixon, age 101 of Highway 27 East in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Asbury Methodist Church with Rev. Natalie Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Dixon was born June 26, 1923, in Lincoln County, to the late Rev. Lester R. Beal and Mattie Abernathy Beal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dixon; son, Bobby Dixon; daughter-in-law, Sharon Dixon; sisters, Eva Mauney, Hettie Eurey, Alda Smith, and Dollie Conner; and brothers, Giles Beal and Lee Beal. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by a son, James Dixon of Lincolnton; daughters, Janis Story (Jerry) of Lincolnton, and Cynthia Fitzgerald (Jim) of Roswell, GA; sisters, Betty Spigarelli, and Wray Lindersmith, both of New Bern; four grandchildren, Tracy Story, Tammy Holliday, Amy Sykes, and Rob Fitzgerald; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
