Ima Jane Harkey Scronce

Ima Jane Harkey Scronce, age 89, of Clay Street in Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025. Mrs. Scronce was born December 24, 1935, in Lincoln County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Reuben Fletcher and Novella Speagle Harkey.
Mrs. Scronce is survived by her daughter, Melody S. Sigmon (Keith) of Lincolnton, NC; son, Ronald Scronce of Lincolnton, NC; sister, Geneva Hoffman of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Karla Barber (Steele), Connor Sellers (Tray), Branon Scronce, Ashton Scronce, and Chase Scronce (Bobbie Jo); fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scronce was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Scronce; and grandson, Kendall Sigmon.
A funeral service for Mrs. Scronce will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincolnton, NC, with Pastor Ed Yount officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery of Lincolnton, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service.
