Shirley Johnson Reynolds

Shirley Johnson Reynolds, age 88, of Otto Reynolds Road in Crouse, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025. Mrs. Reynolds was born February 14, 1936, in Burke County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Crayton Winslow and Amanda Parker Johnson.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her daughters, Cathy Auton (Bill) of Lincolnton, NC, Carolyn McGinnis (Ricky) of Crouse, NC, Dorothy Christopher (Gene) of Iron Station, NC, and Mary Anne Prather of Crouse, NC; son, Otto Reynolds, Jr., (Denice) of Crouse, NC; grandchildren, Angie Auton (Robert), Tonya Reynolds Langley (Gordon), Tiffany Barnette (Neil), Jake Christopher (Melissa), Brandon Auton (Brittney), Otto Reynolds, III, (Brandon), Gina Abernethy (Chris), Megan Prather, and Seth Prather; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Reynolds, Sr.; brothers, Ed, Garland, and Pete Johnson; and sisters, Nadine Morrison and Muriel Grant.
A funeral service for Mrs. Reynolds will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church, Lincolnton, NC, with Pastor Jaie Warlick officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
