Bobby Carol Armstrong

Bobby Carol Armstrong, age 87, of Home Trail in Lincolnton, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025.
A memorial service for Bobby will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Farnsworth and Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 p.m. until the service time.
Bobby was born March 6, 1937, in Lincoln County, to the late Ernest Joe Armstrong and Louise Cooper Armstrong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Gene Armstrong; and step-daughter, Tammy Fox Rumph. He was retired from Timken.
Bobby was a man of simple joys. He was passionate about fishing and found great comfort in the Gospel. His warmth and sense of humor touched everyone he met. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Martha McMurry Armstrong of the home; two sons, Mike Armstrong and Mitch Armstrong, both of Lincolnton; daughter, Renea Fletcher of Vale; stepson, Richie Fox of Maiden; brothers, Earl Armstrong and Jerry Armstrong, both of Lincolnton; sister, Jane A. Roberts of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
