Nell Frances Barnes Ross

Nell Frances Barnes Ross, age 87, of Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Garren officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ross was born April 17, 1937, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Richard J. McRorie and Myrtle Hampton McRorie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Joe Barnes and Roderick Shane Barnes; and granddaughter, Michelle Taylor Platt. She worked as a secretary for Frank Upchurch Company. She was a talented artist and extraordinary homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Douglas Ross of the home; son, Michael Delinger (Donna) of Clover, SC; three daughters, Ronda Phillips of Lincolnton, Tonya Recore (Michael) of Bessemer City, and Sandy Barnes; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
