Betty Deloras Groller Neuman

Betty Deloras Groller Neuman, age 91, of Lincolnton, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
Born on November 18, 1933 in Annapolis, Maryland to Herman Leo Groller and Jessie May Richards Groller. Betty was a longtime resident of Edgewater, Maryland. She graduated from Annapolis High School, Class of 1951 and later marrying and raising her family in this area. She had a successful career with AT&T, retiring after thirty plus years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Post 226 in Mayo, Maryland where she enjoyed attending events and socializing with friends. She also enjoyed family gatherings, crab feasts, playing cards and Scrabble, reading and loved to watch and cheer on her favorite football team, the Washington Redskins.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Leslie (Bud) C. Groller and Army Lt. Colonel, Herman (June) W. Groller and her husband, Robert A. Neuman. Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Jessie Ann Marcellino of Sebastian, Florida; her children, Charles Eugene Green, Jr. and wife Polly Green of Edgewater, Maryland; her daughter, Cheri Louise Tolson of Lincolnton, North Carolina and her son, Robert Allen Neuman II of Kernersville, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Chenoa Hale, Nicholas Owens, Patrick Owens, Elizabeth Neuman, Cory Neuman and several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her roommate and friend, Evelyn Graham for her patience, love and kindness. Thank you to The Greens of Lincolnton and Hospice and Palliative Care of Lincoln County for caring for her.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held by her family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a cause dear to her heart.
