Sarah Long Sigmon
( February 6, 1945 - February 16, 2025 )
Sarah Long Sigmon, age 80, of Lincolnton, passed from this world to her Heavenly home on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Crowell Memorial Methodist Church with Pastor Eric Kelly officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:15 p.m. on Friday prior to the service.
Sarah was born February 6, 1945, in Gaston County, to the late Melvin Cromwell Long and Ruth Viola Cloninger Long Rash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Glenn Sigmon, Jr., and grandson, Kendall Sigmon. She attended and was a very faithful servant of her church. Sarah worked in sewing for Mohican Mills, enjoyed riding horses, sewing and quilting, gardening, and her Lil’ red truck.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Scronce (Fred) of Vale, and Kristian (Krissy) Sigmon of Lincolnton; sons, Scott Sigmon (Kim) of Vale, and Keith Sigmon (Melody) of Lincolnton; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crowell Memorial Methodist Church, 4018 Killian Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to VIA Health Partners, PO Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247.
