Lawrence Wayne Hendrick, 81, of Howards Creek Mill Road in Vale, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Reepsville Baptist Church Cemetery, with the family receiving friends following the service.

Wayne was born on January 27, 1944, in Lincoln County to the late Percy Lee and Mary Ruth Williams Hendrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Whaley.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Wayne honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. He dedicated much of his career to textiles and later worked in furniture quality control before retiring.

Beyond his work, Wayne was an avid fisherman who found joy on the water. He was a former member of the Bethlehem Bass Club and cherished the time spent outdoors.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia Scronce Hendrick of the home; his daughter, Jennifer Michelle Hendrick (Autumn Corley) of Vale; and his sister, Judy Murphy (Jim) of Maiden.
