Gwendolyn “Gwen” Burke Goodson, age 85, of Salem Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Boger City Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Devine officiating.
Gwen was born February 25, 1939 in Lincolnton, to the late Joe and Bessie Bridges Burke Cline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Goodson, and a son, Jamie Goodson. She worked in textiles.
Survivors include her son, Mike Goodson and wife, Reaca of Lincolnton; grandsons, Joe Goodson and wife Anna of Maiden, Nicholas Goodson and fiancé’ Sarah of Myrtle Beach, SC; granddaughter, Kristen Gettys of Lafayette, IN; and great-grandson, Lincoln Goodson; sister-in-law, Peggy Mode of Lincolnton, brother-in-law, Terry Goodson of Matthews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County.
