Robert Thomas Alexander

Evangelist Robert Thomas Alexander, age 88, of Southside Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2026.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, in the Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Garland officiating. The family will speak with friends graveside following the service.
Mr. Alexander was born August 4, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late John Franklin Alexander and Exie Torres Alexander. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Harvey, Melvin, Clyde, and Harold; and his twin brother, Bill. He worked in furniture manufacturing.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Gates Alexander of the home; son, Robert “Steve” Alexander (Gail) of Lincolnton; two daughters, Cynthia A. Ballard (Rickey) and Janet A. Garland (Dennis), all of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Kylie Pressley (Billy), Joshua Ballard, Tonya Swink (Jamie), and Amy Alexander; five great-grandchildren, Makayla, Landon, Ethan, Austin, and Shelby; and two great-great-grandchildren, Carma and Wynter.
