Charles Edward "Rudy" Rudisill

Charles Edward “Rudy” Rudisill, age 87, of South Cedar Street in Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Mr. Rudisill was born March 20, 1937, in Lincoln County, North Carolina, son of the late Harold Paul and Helen Hallman Rudisill.
Mr. Rudisill is survived by his wife, Paulette Rudisill of Lincolnton, NC; children, Joel Rudisill of Denver, NC, Jan Bartlett (Tommy) of Winnsboro, SC, and Debbie Pope (Tim) of Lincolnton, NC; stepsons, David Byrd (Angie) of Lincolnton, NC, and Paul Byrd (Jennifer) of Newton Grove, NC; sisters, Pat Ingram and Cora Lee Jarvis; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rudisill was preceded in death by his son, Charles Edward “Eddie” Rudisill, Jr.; brother, Harry Rudisill; and sister, Judy Harrison.
A memorial service for Mr. Rudisill will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Lincolnton, NC, with the Reverend Judy L. Drysdale officiating. A private inurnment service will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 216 South Aspen Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
