Jarvis Marie James, age 100, of Vale, died on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at McKendree Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Richard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall prior to the service.
Ms. James was born January 30, 1925, in Jefferson County, Kentucky, to the late Raymond and Eva Asbury James. She worked as a seamstress.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Litehiser, Jr. (Linda) of San Francisco, CA, and Jay Litehiser of Germany; daughters, Jannah Dupre (John), and Coral Saunders, all of Vale; daughter-in-law, Debbie Cash of Vale; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
